Too often I have seen clients going to a firm on the reputation of a partner or a senior lawyer, then spending most of their time dealing with other staff in the firm.

I have spent the last 20 years of my legal working life working in a range of firms - accounting firms (KPMG, in Wellington) to a national law firm in Wellington (Buddle Findlay), to two of the largest firms in Dunedin (Gallaway Cook Allan & Webb Farry). I have been a co-owner of Webb Farry, a five-partner law firm in Dunedin.
