Contact Lenses is now possible to provide comfortable, safe vision to correct all eye conditions. The options include single vision, bifocal and multifocal lenses both in gas permeable hard lens designs and also in soft. Many people come in to us saying that they have astigmatism that cannot be corrected. This is now quite simply not the case, as both hard and soft lenses will provide good vision if appropriately fitted.
The practice does specialise in fitting contact lenses to literally fit any eye and is unique in utilising specialty lenses such as gas permeable haptic lenses to correct advanced keratoconus and post corneal graft conditions.
Contact lens wear has been revolutionized with the advent of disposable lenses. These lenses are available as single use daily wear (no solutions / no maintenance) to monthly extended wear (perhaps the ultimate in convenience). Both forms of wear should be considered as a safe and just as importantly, reversible option to laser surgery. Lens wear can also be for social reasons with many varieties of tinted and fun lenses available at reasonable cost.
We are happy to provide lenses for extended trial at no cost apart from that of an initial examination. Our fees include the first three months aftercare, which is essential to monitor for any adverse reactions, either to the lenses or the solutions. It is necessary for anyone on extended wear to have a brief check every six months and a full check annually. All checks will include a slit-lamp bio microscopy
