Service descriptions

Lock (installs, repairs, and upgrades) - having difficulty installing your own lock, is your lock faulty, worn, or have you broken a key? Or do you just need a more secure lock? (I can help you!)

Lock (rekeying or keying alike) - has your key been lost, stolen, or broken? Or has a past tenant not returned their key? Rekeying is a much cheaper option than replacing your lock, you get a new set of keys so the old keys no longer operate your lock, and in most cases I can key alike your door locks onto one key for convenience (I can help!)

Lock (picking or opening) - locked out? lost your key? faulty or worn lock? or has your key just been stolen? (I can help!)

Key (cutting to copy or code) - you need a spare set, or you have misplaced a key to your lock? I can duplicate to copy or a factory code (I can help you!)

About me

My name is Marc Austin, and I started in the locksmithing industry in Napier (1982). I enjoy working with locks and keys. I love my job, and have now been in the industry nearly 38 years. I believe that I m friendly and approachable, and like to think that I offer a great service and experience to all who use my services. I learnt my trade in Napier where I worked for a reputable locksmithing company for almost 9 years, and then set up my own mobile service for 5 years, before moving to Australia. In Brisbane I worked for two different locksmithing companies, but did not enjoy their lack of customer service. I returned home to New Zealand two years later and moved back home to Christchurch where I was born. I was employed in the hardware industry for 3 years before restarting my own locksmithing business again in 2006, and have been happy ever since. I enjoy going to work each day and meeting new clients.
