James Wren & Co Ltd is a name well known in Dunedin. The company focuses largely on painting and decorating, we have been providing top quality service since 1896.

Our contracting division is one of the South Islands largest for painters, decorators and subcontractors. We cover commercial, industrial and residential work, from large industrial projects to small repairs in private homes.
With over 100 years of business it is not surprising that Wrens is a business with an interesting history. Not only did we survive through two world wars and the great depression but we have literally made our mark on thousands of Dunedin buildings. Over the past century Wrens, which now uses and sells upwards of 80,000 litres of paint a year, has worked on its fair share of unconventional projects, including movie sets and exclusive lodges.
