About Glenn Kirk Oral Surgeon Ltd
Glenn completed his MDS in Oral Surgery in 2005, graduating with Distinction. Since graduation Glenn has practiced as a Specialist Oral Surgeon in the Manawatu for the NZDF, Midcentral District Health Board and in Private Practice. He has been invited to be an external clinical examiner for the postgraduate students at the University of Otago, Faculty of Dentistry, Oral Surgery programme.
Glenn is a member of the International Congress of Implantologists and maintains an active interest in the surgical aspects of Implantology. He has been placing Implants for over twelve years. Glenn is also a credentialed Oral Surgeon at Crest Hospital, Palmerston North, and an Accredited Provider with Southern Cross Healthcare.
What makes us different
Glenn has a strong sense of ethical duty to provide affordable and accessible Oral Surgery to his patients in a relaxed environment. He circumvented the normal route of Specialists in setting up their own practice, and decided to locum by invitation at existing dental practices where he can use their facilities and staff thereby maintaining a more affordable standard of care. More recently he has purchased the former premises of Bruce Murdoch to continue to offer Oral Surgical Services for the wider Central Districts community.Glenn's calm demeanour and even-tempered nature lends itself well to orthodontic patients. Being a Specialist with a solid background in dentistry, Glenn has a sound working knowledge of tooth morphology, thus being able to perform oral surgery in a decisive and expedient manner with minimal complications. Glenn is able to offer intravenous conscious sedation and now General Anaesthesia (in a day stay Hospital environment) and has visiting rights to Crest Hospital. His local anaesthetic delivery technique has been reported as being excellent with minimal discomfort to the patient.
