Dr Janine Joyce Professional

Janine has many years coaching and counselling experience working with issues related to i) stress management, ii) building resilience in response to strong emotion and iii) managing low mood and anxiety. She has assisted individuals and teams with situations of employment conflict, including bullying, critical incident onsite support, service review and organisational change processes. She says that she loves to listen quietly to each person/ team and then identify strengths and strategies for positive change. Her postgraduate qualifications include mental health treatment and assessment with children, adolescents and adults (New Zealand) and Yoga therapy, meditation and mindfulness (Indian Council for Cultural Relations Scholarship). Her Phd explored the values and practices of human spirituality and peace by listening to traditional knowledge from Indian and Maori communities. She has publications in health, peace education and community development. She is practically skilled with a range of theories including CBT, Rational emotive, dialectical behavioural and mindfulness.
