Dr Vanessa Blair, MBChB, FRACS, PhD., is a New Zealand trained general surgeon raised in Northland with specific interests in oncoplastic breast surgery, skin cancer surgery (including melanoma), gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Vanessa received the .'Most Distinguished Graduate' award on completion of medical school at Auckland University in 1997. Vanessa strives for excellence in patient-centred care and communication. She works with patients to reach a carefully considered decision about the best option, tailored to the individual's particular circumstances.

Procedures and Treatments include:
Breast surgery, hernia surgery, gallbladder surgery, assessment and investigation of abdominal disorders, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy, Skin cancer management and surgery, neck lump and thyroid assessment and surgery.

Her PhD was in hereditary cancer genetics of breast and gastric cancer. She has published in international academic journals and presents at national and international conferences.
